Teeth..Sleep..and Chickenpox????

I haven't updated in about a week, and even longer for an Avery update so I figured it was time! We have big news in that she FINALLY has a new tooth!! It is officially through and everything. This is the first tooth for us, and she is a week shy of 11 months! Cullen didn't get teeth until he was 1 I guess, so hopefully she will be blessed with his teeth and not mine!

We were up celebrating our nephew Conner's birthday party last Saturday. He turned 1! It was so much fun. I planned to upload pics right away, but our power cord broke to our computer, so no new pics until that gets fixed..but then trust me, there will be lots! He is getting to be such a big boy, and we had a great time. On Sunday, we got a call that he broke out with the chickenpox! So we are nervously awaiting our sweet girl to get them too. They said this is a pretty good age to get them I guess. Maybe she will be lucky and won't get them, but it's doubtful. Conner is feeling better though, so that is the best news.

Avery is now officially sleeping though the night...or so we wish. Yes, our big girl still likes to get up at least one, and sometimes even twice a night. We've tried the cry it out, and about everything else we can think of, and she just likes to get up. She eats a little and goes right back to bed, so it isn't that bad, but Cullen and I are beginning to wonder if we will ever get more then 6 consecutive hours of sleep a night again. But she does go to bed great, which is wonderful. I figure she will when she is ready..right???!!! Oh well..she is her own little lady and we love her to pieces!

Other than that, she is just as busy as ever. I'm thinking it won't be long before we have a walker..I'm guessing right around her birthday. She can stand by herself for a very little bit, and hardly has to hang on to stuff. She motors all around! Her new favorite thing is to play in the refrigerator, and try to stand up in the bathtub. (Well she does stand up, so I guess it is that she tries not to slip and fall down!)It has been so much fun, and I can't believe she will be 1 in a little over a month. That is really all I guess. I will post some new pics of her when we get our new power cord in the mail..should be any day now. :)

Pretty Orelia!

So it's official..my friends have the cutest babies ever! I got some more baby picture practice yesterday with our friends Nick and Amy's little girl, Orelia! She was so cute and so fun. She is just two weeks old, and she was awake the whole time! So we didn't get the curly, newborn pics, but you get to see her gorgeous blue eyes, which is just as wonderful! She is such a pretty baby. Thanks for putting up with me and my picture practice. I know these aren't pictures of Avery, but I'm sure you all can appreciate a beautiful, newborn baby! Thanks again Nick and Amy, for letting me take these pictures. I had a blast!

More Baby Kate!

We went down to Mankato yesterday to visit Jay, Angie, and baby Kate.  She is just the cutest thing.  I got to take some pictures of her and it was SO fun!!  She was the perfect baby model..she slept and was so cozy, and then opened up those big, blue eyes.  It was so nice of her to let me practice on her.  She is just so darn cute, it was hard to pick just a few to share.  Here are a couple... Babies and Piano!

Avery like to play before bedtime, and she recently mastered the stairs.  At the top of our stairs, she has discovered the piano.  Yea!!  She likes to press the keys and hear the noise!  She also sure loves her baby doll.  She takes good care of her, and only tried to chew on her sometimes!  On that note, I think we may finally have a tooth coming.  There is definitely a bump and something white on her bottom left, so hopefully we will finally have a tooth.  We've been thinking she's been teething for the last 5 months, and nothing!

Well on Monday night we broke out Avery's Vikings outfit she got from Aunt Dana for Christmas last year..it was a little big, but we made it work and it was too cute.   She was even equipped with her very own chair for the game, which just happened to be gold!  Despite Avery's best efforts, they didn't win..oh well.  But at least she looked cute watching!  (Cullen doesn't like these because he thinks she needs a boy..he doesn't like the boy look on girls, but yet he doesn't want me to get her a pink Vikings jersey..hmm...I think this look is pretty cute!)

Lovin the Bath!

Avery has grown to LOVE bathtime, which we are very thankful for.  Every night when we go in to get her bath water ready, all you have to do is stand as if you are going to walk to the bathroom, and then go turn the water on .  Within minutes she is on the go, on her way into the bathroom.  I caught of picture of her in action the other night!  Then there is a pic of her with daddy waiting for her bath to fill up.  I think it is so cute how she so has the exact same little swirl in the back of her head as Cullen, and I caught a cute picture of it!  Right now they even have the same hair going on with the little spike.  They are too cute!

Sweet Baby Kate

In my post below I mentioned our friends Jay and Angie had the sweetest little baby girl, Kate Emma.  These are a few pics of the night we went to see her last week.  It was dark and the flash was nearly blinding the poor girl, so we quit.  We are going to visit on Saturday, and there are bound to be more pics taken..with no flash.  I can't wait to see this little honey again!!!  Congrats again Jay and Ang!!

Kate Emma!

Yes, we have another new baby post! Our other good friends, Jay and Angie, had their beautiful baby girl on Wednesday. Her name is Kate Emma and she is absolutely perfect! I love that Avery is having all of these baby friends! Jay and Ang didn't know what they were having, so it was a surprise. The punctual little one was even born on her due date! We went to see her last night, and she is just adorable. It was late and dark, so I only took a few pictures and stopped for fear of blinding the poor girl with my flash, but they have some posted on their blog and you can see them if you click here: Kate Emma! Congrats to Jay and Ang! We are so so so happy for you!

Orelia Mary!!!

My friend Amy and her husband Nick welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world yesterday!  Orelia Mary was born yesterday afternoon and weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 1/2 in. long (I hope I got that all right Amy!) We got to go see her today and she is absolutely beautiful!!  I'm so excited for Avery to have a little friend around, as I see lots of play dates in the future!  She is an adorable little bundle of pink, and the pictures are too cute not to share!  Congrats Amy and Nick on your new family!!!

Today we stopped over at my mom and dad's house, and my granny is there for awhile too.  Avery got to spend some time with her great grandma and loved it!  She also got to drive and push her car around.  This was the best $10 my dad has ever spent!  He got her car at a garage sale this spring, and it is her very favorite thing.  She lights up when she sees it, and it has really got her walking.  She pushes it all over!  She also likes to drive and shift.  The yellow thing makes noises as she shifts, and she can't get enough!
