Hmmm...Not so sure about the grass!

I stuck Avery in the grass the other night because it was so nice out. Cullen was at a baseball game, she was in such a good mood, and it was just so beautiful outside. Of course as soon as I pulled out the camera, she puts on her miss serious face. I think she just wonders what that big thing is I hold up to my face. I think these are pretty cute anyways. I've been reading my little photography books, so I wanted to try out some of the skills I've been reading about but I need to find a background that is more fun then just grass. Maybe we will go hunting for one day this week. As you might see, the chapter I just read was on sectioning and dividing your pictures into thirds and not always centering your objects..hence Avery always off to the side. Hmmm...I think I need to keep practicing. They all look the same. Oh well. I'm learning.

Swimming Fun!!

Avery got to try out her pool yesterday afternoon and after she figured out what this new thing was, she had lots of fun. She was busy busy busy of course trying to get her toys, stand up, eat the pool, and whatever else. We made homemade shade from our patio chairs so the sun didn't get her too much. She even got her hair wet! We had a blast and can't wait to use it again!

Giddy Up!

Avery loves to go for "horsey rides"! This usually brings out lots of smiles and giggles, and tonight before bed she was playing with daddy and I got some pictures of the evening horsey ride. The last picture is also her trying to eat Cullen's knee. She seriously tries to put everything she can into her mouth right now, including knee, noses, chins and whatever else is in range of her! (Also, her new summer jammies she has on in these pics are just too cute!)

Avery At The Park!

We went to the park today with our friends Amy and her baby girl (well technically her baby is still in her belly, but she was there! She will be here in early September!!) and Jen and her two kids Baylee who will be 3 this fall, and Caden who is 2 months old. We had a great time, and Avery loved it! She was pretty content to just check out the new surroundings, but we did try out the swings and she loved it! Some of the pics are really bright. It was super sunny and I didn't adjust my camera in time, but you get the idea!

Tired Walker!

We went for a walk on Saturday morning, and Avery enjoyed it so much she feel asleep! She loves walking in her stroller like a big girl now, where she can sit up and look around, but when we were about halfway through, I realized she had fallen asleep, and stayed sleeping until we got home. She looked so cute sleeping in her stroller and hat, I had to grab the camera!

One Look?!?!

When Avery woke up from her nap on Thursday we went outside to help her Daddy build the deck, or just keep him company. But she wasn't very interested in jumping. I suppose, I don't get too excited about being real active right when I wake up either. We take some waking up time, and Avery's clearly doesn't involve jumping. The bottom picture looks like her Zoolander Blue Steel look if you are familiar with that movie! One look?!?!

On The Move!

Avery is sure into moving around lately! So these pictures were one night this week. We put her on her playmat. You can see where she started in the middle. Then she rolls herself around to where she needs to go. She has gotten down the two parts of crawling, but can't put them together. She gets her little butt up in the air, and can get her arms up, but can't do it at the same time. It is pretty funny to watch her try! She is growing up so fast.

Happy Father's Day - Baseball Pics!

We made Cullen a book for Father's Day and we were sneaky and took some baseball pictures to put in it. I couldn't post them until today because he didn't get his book until today. They turned out pretty fun. Sorry for so many pics, I just couldn't decide which ones to put up!

Big comfy bed and a little Avery!

Avery loves to hang out on our bed with us, and stare up at the ceiling fan. Cullen had her on it this morning, and she was just hanging out and it was too cute, so of course we had to take some pictures. (Cullen loves her on it because it makes her look so small and the bed look so big!) I just love my mom and dad's bed!

Pretty in Pink

We took some pictures with a pretty pink background and a fun comfy summer dress. This was at the beginning of her cold, and you can see it in her little eyes, so we will have to take some more when she is feeling better.

New Job!

So this is a non-Avery post, but thought we'd share anyway for those of you who care to know..I got a new job. This past week I was offered, and accepted, a 4th grade teaching position at Jonathan Elementary, which is part of the Chaska school district. We're really excited for this opportunity. It is definitely bittersweet, as I've been at New Prague for 4 years and have made some great friends there and really do love my job there, but it is a great opportunity for us to have Cullen and I in the same district, plus the school I will be at really seems great and I'm really excited for 4th grade. Now Cullen and I will have the same schedule with breaks, etc. so that will be really nice. We just wanted to share our good news. More Avery pics coming soon!

Some Random Pics

I haven't updated in a bit, but not too much has been going on. Last weekend Avery got to see her cousins Kade and Patience, and her Uncle Scott when they were up from Iowa, so that was fun. She also went to a baseball game of her daddy's when it was finally nice out! We are all done with school, so no daycare for a few months. She is sure going to miss Lori and her friends out there, but mama is happy to be home with her for a few months! Now if the weather would just be nice so we can start doing some more outside things. Oh, Avery also had her first big shopping Saturday with mama and nana and she was perfect! She loves to ride in her stroller sitting up like a big girl. I think she sensed that if she kept being good, she would keep getting new things! It was a fun day! So here are a couple random pics of the last two weeks.
