4 Month Appt!!

Avery had her 4 month appointment today and the doctor was very impressed and said she looks great!! She weighed in at 13 lbs. 5 1/2 oz. and was 24 in. long so she is growing like a big girl! Her doctor was super happy with her progress and told us you would never know she was a preemie! We knew that of course :) She had a lots of smiles for all of the nurses, and was even a big girl during her shots. (So was her mom this time) Just wanted to share our happy update!

No More Bumper

No more crib bumper for miss Avery for awhile! This morning when she woke up I went in to get her and she had turned herself completely around in her crib and was laying right up next to the bumper! I have no idea how she did this?! She is still being swaddled and loves this, so we will keep her swaddled and take away the bumper. So now we will probably wake up to her rolling into her crib rails, but better to be safe! She mystifies me sometimes! I wish I would have gotten a picture, I didn't even think of it!

Cheesecake Time!

Well it's not an Avery post, but it's good news! Cullen had his final weigh in today for the Biggest Loser competition he has been doing at the local gym, and the survey says he's lost 51.6 pounds! That was 18.8% of his weight! So in honor of his success, Avery and I made him a special treat (from scratch even) and we were proud of it so we wanted to share. It is called Peanut Butter Brownie Bottom Cheesecake. It turned out pretty yummy...

Tutu Cute!

I ordered a tutu for Avery to have some 3 month pics taken in it, but it didn't get here in time. So...we had to take our own this week before I go back to work! What tutu picture is completely without the big bow?? She wasn't sure about it at first, if she should eat it or what, but I think before it was over she liked it!

Bumbo Time!

Check out Avery's new chair! This is her Bumbo. We tried her a few weeks ago and she was nowhere near ready. Then we did it again the other night. It is amazing what a difference a few weeks will make as to how big she is and how strong she has gotten. She is only in it right now for a little bit each day to continue to help build up those muscles. Doesn't she look like a big girl?!

More Avery Pictures

Just a few more pics to share. I secretly think Avery is counting down the days until I go back to work so I will stop taking so many pictures of her. We just won't have good light in the evenings! The poor girl won't know what hit her this summer when the weather is nice, we can go outside, and I will finally have my nice, new camera! She is just so fun to take pictures of!

I Don't Know About Winter...

We had to take advantage of the warmer weather we have been having, and get Avery outside to try out her snowsuit and see just what this snow business is all about, since she is a Minnesota baby! So we got all bundled up and went outside. You can tell by her face how she feels about it...maybe we need to think about moving to a warmer climate????

Hanging Out

Last week Cullen had conferences and we were lonely so we went over to Nana and Grandpa's to hang out, and Avery's cousin Ansley was there too! We thought it was cool that Avery was sitting in the same bouncy seat that Ansley and Noah used too! So we had to take a quick pic of the pretty ladies!

PJ Day!!

Since it has been SO cold here the last few days, we haven't gotten out to do a whole lot, so basically we've sat around and snuggled in our pj's. I'm thinking little Avery wishes her mom would get a new hobby besides taking pictures!

First Pro Pics!

Avery got her first professional pics taken on Saturday. Well they are just from Target, but that is as professional as we get these days! She was not loving the camera or the crazy photographer lady that day, but we did manage to get a few smiles out of her. These are a few...Gotta love the one with Cullen making motorboat noises at her. That is classic, it will always make her smile!

Operation Crib Successful

I think we officially have a crib sleeper! We decided it was time to try to get Avery sleeping in her crib, so she will be used to it when I have to go back to work. Also, because she was outgrowing the glider she was sleeping in in our room. So we gave it a try on Friday night and we are on night 4 of it going pretty well! Let's hope it keeps up. I think it was harder on mama having her out of the room! When we go get her in the morning, she is full of smiles! She also LOVES her mobile and talking to her flowers. These are a few pics of her in her crib yesterday Yes, she does sleep in warm clothes!! We were just getting her dressed!

tummy time

Avery is pretty good about doing her tummy time each day to help her grow big and strong. Yesterday morning she would rather just lay on her tummy and suck on her fists instead of moving around. Whatever makes a girl happy right?!

Avery watched her first Super Bowl this weekend at her friends Jessie and Ryan's, but somebody forgot to tell her that the Vikings didn't make it this year :( Oh well, she showed her pride anyway in her cute Viking outfit she got from a friend. She was also practicing her officiating skills with the touchdown sign!
