First Pro Pics!

Avery got her first professional pics taken on Saturday. Well they are just from Target, but that is as professional as we get these days! She was not loving the camera or the crazy photographer lady that day, but we did manage to get a few smiles out of her. These are a few...Gotta love the one with Cullen making motorboat noises at her. That is classic, it will always make her smile!

Operation Crib Successful

I think we officially have a crib sleeper! We decided it was time to try to get Avery sleeping in her crib, so she will be used to it when I have to go back to work. Also, because she was outgrowing the glider she was sleeping in in our room. So we gave it a try on Friday night and we are on night 4 of it going pretty well! Let's hope it keeps up. I think it was harder on mama having her out of the room! When we go get her in the morning, she is full of smiles! She also LOVES her mobile and talking to her flowers. These are a few pics of her in her crib yesterday Yes, she does sleep in warm clothes!! We were just getting her dressed!

Avery is pretty good about doing her tummy time each day to help her grow big and strong. Yesterday morning she would rather just lay on her tummy and suck on her fists instead of moving around. Whatever makes a girl happy right?!

Avery watched her first Super Bowl this weekend at her friends Jessie and Ryan's, but somebody forgot to tell her that the Vikings didn't make it this year :( Oh well, she showed her pride anyway in her cute Viking outfit she got from a friend. She was also practicing her officiating skills with the touchdown sign!

So we are going to give this blog thing a try. We will try to keep updated on what is new with us, but mostly with Avery. She is 3 months old now and growing like crazy. We are loving our new little family and can't get enough of our little girl. Here a few recent pics of us practicing for Avery's 3 month pictures. We wanted to make sure the hair bow wasn't too obnoxious!

More Smiles and A BIG Headband!

I can't get enough of those smiles!  I've really gotten interested in taking pictures while I've been on maternity leave, and am working on ways to take better pics.  I tried these yesterday morning.  I got Avery some new headbands for her 3 month pics coming up.  They are big, and maybe a little obnoxious, but I love them nonetheless!  She was full of smiles.  We were getting ready for a day out to go look at some new houses with Uncle Kirk, so we had to get cute!  She was too cute, so we had to take a few.  I hope she is this smiley for her 3 month pictures next week!

Winter Days

Well what have we been up to this week..not much!  Avery and I spend our days hanging out, reading books, cleaning, laundry, napping, the occasional Target run, and other things.  We've also been searching for yummy, healthy recipes to make for Cullen for dinner.  He has entered a Biggest Loser competition at the gym, and is doing AWESOME!  He won't let me post pictures, but he is doing so great!  Avery loves when Daddy comes home though, and they get lots of snuggles and play time in, along with some good conversation of course!

She Smiles!!!!!!!!!

This was a big week at our house!!!  Avery is finally smiling..Wahoo!!!!  One of the things that has been hard about her being so early is waiting a bit longer for her to reach those big milestones.  It seems like we've been waiting forever to see that big grin, but is has been SO worth the wait!  She started going it earlier this week, and we of course had to email Daddy at work to show him.  Now she is a smiling machine!  Of course trying to capture them on camera isn't alwasy as easy, but we got a few.  She has also just seems to have grown a lot this week.  She is finally getting more of that baby chub on her legs, and she is so alert and really starting to play with her toys and things hanging from her playmat.  It has been so much fun to watch her this week.  Hope you enjoy her little grins as much as we do!

Great-Grandma and Nana

Avery spent today hanging out with Great-Grandma at our house!  I'm so thankful that Avery gets this time to spend with my Grandma.  Avery loves to snuggle with her and I think the feeling is mutual!  My grandma really wanted a picture of her hands with Avery's hands.  I think it is so precious.  Of course, Nana can't leave without snuggles either, and Avery is happy to oblige!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2008!!!  What a great year 2007 was.  We have so much to be thankful for in our family, most importantly of course, our sweet little Avery!  Each New Year's Eve, my roommates from college and I try to get together.  As we are starting families, and moving farther apart, it gets harder and harder, but this year we all made it except Jess and Ryan who had a wedding to go to,  but Mara and Josh made it and we go to meet Avery's new boyfriend Logan. :)  Kirk and Kristin were there, and Nick and Amy and Dustan and Mary stopped by for a bit too.  It was so good to see everyone!  Happy 2008!!  Hope it brings many wonderful things!
