A Sweet Treat!

I almost forgot..after our day at Minnehaha, we stopped at Nana and Grandpa's on our way home.  We were super hot, so Nana decided Avery should have a push-up to cool off.  Needless to say, she LOVED it!!!

Minnehaha Falls

Here are some pics from our trip to Minnehaha Falls on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day and had tons of fun.  There are a ton of pics because there were just too many to pick from!  If you haven't been there, I would highly recommend it.  It was cheap and a great way to spend a nice day outside!  The pics are kind of out of order.  I can't figure out how to change the order on this new computer.  Urgh.  This Saturday we are off to the Minnesota Zoo with cousin Conner, Aunt Jess and Uncle Joe.  Should be a great time!
Avery checking out the pillar - she pretty much wanted to stand on everything she could!
Tired out at the end of the day.  She fell asleep as soon as we got in the car.
Just a cute picture - she was trying to get the camera
Her first drink from a drinking fountain after our long walk down to the Falls
The Bahn's at the bottom of the Falls
Trying to eat Daddy's glasses - He learned quickly he can't keep them on his head!
Lovin piggy back rides with her Daddy
Avery decided she would rather push her stroller instead of riding in it!
We're so renting one of these next summer!!  Avery was a little too small this time.

Here Comes Trouble!!

Mom, I think we need to update the blog..I've been really busy!
With all this growing, our capris got too small...good thing they are the expander kind!  We made adjustments after lunch! (Wish I looked this cute with my pants like this!)

Trying so hard to open the cupboard in the kitchen, but getting mad because her walker was in the way!
Always standing up in her crib, not making naps very easy right now!
Using Grammy's walker (for her bad leg) as a new thing to stand on.  She loved this new toy!
Discovered she can open the doors on our entertainment center
And..figured out the drawers in the kitchen too - this walker is a dangerous machine!

It has been a CRAZY week for Avery!  She has done so many things this week, it is just nuts.  All in the last week, she has started consistently pulling herself up to standing on anything she can grab on to something, and then loves to stand there forever.  She has also started crawling more, and I think we may finally have a tooth coming.  There looks to be a little white bump in there, but I'm not completely sure.  She has also discovered how to open cupboards and drawers and we've busted here a few times!  It is so funny and so cute, but we know we can't start encouraging those things, so needless to stay we stopped at Target today and got the little drawer lock things.  Anyway, here are a few pics of her shenanigans!  We also went to Minnehaha Falls today and had the best time and I have TONS of pics to post, but I'm pretty tired, so I will try to get those up tomorrow!!

Nature Girl???

Eww..what is in my hand?
I'm so not into this grass
Just because I love her chubbo cheeks in this one
I forgot to post these last week, but have to because they are pretty funny!  You have to look closely at her facial expressions.  She picked some grass and looks totally repulsed by what is in her hand!  At this point, miss Avery is not looking much like a nature girl.

Hot Hot Hot!!!

Once again, not loving the grass

A little summer reading
Just love her look on her face in this one
Not too much new here, but thought I would update.  We had a pretty mellow weekend.  Friday night Avery got to play with her friend Logan from California again, since he and Mara were home for a bit.  It was lots of fun.  Avery has also started pulling herself up to standing, mainly in her crib.  It is just right for her to grab onto.  We lowered her mattress, but when I went to get her from her nap today, there she was standing in her crib all by herself.  What a big girl!  She is getting closer to crawling too.  She even went a little bit today.  I think she saw her buddy Logan do it, so now she is ready to go!  We also took some pictures today at my mom and dad's house, and a little park here in town. We didn't do too many because it was way too hot out.  Not a good idea to try pictures today, and as you can see I don't think she was very happy with me!  We'll have to try again another day, but I still think they're cute anyway, even though she isn't looking and scowling most of the time!  We're noticing she has many of the same looks her uncle Jeff and cousin Ansley had when they were little.  We don't know if this is good news for us or not?! :)  The sign on the bank near our house said 93 degrees.  Way to hot for pictures!  We need to do this one day when Daddy is home because he can really get her smiling!  Gotta love her little sprout of hair sticking up from her bow though!!  Girls have to accessorize!!

Pro Pics

Well the deal when I got the new camera was we wouldn't subject Avery to anymore annoying Target/Mall style photography trips. A photographer opened a new studio in town a few weeks ago and offered free mini sessions so we went with a friend and had just a few pics taken. It was kind of spur of the moment, and it was free. Now, if I end up buying a bunch, I will just justify it as I am nowhere near that talented and have way too much to learn yet to take pics like that, so I may just have to get some. You can see them at this website, and if you are as in love with this little girl as I am, you can even buy your own pictures of her on this site and they will ship right to you! Hi Conner!
Come here to me!  Don't you want a hug?
Conner was so nice to share his cool blocks.  Luckily there were plenty of each, since they both wanted what the other had!
Oops - only one of this toy - and Conner isn't sure he wants to share.
The sweetest picture ever - cousin hugs!

We went up to visit Grammy Roxy this weekend.  She is doing okay.  They did surgery and had to put a rod in her leg.  We got to stop in and play with cousin Conner before we went home.  They were so fun to watch play together now as they are getting older.  Conner was nice to share his toys and fun blocks, and they even gave each other nice hugs!  It is one of my favorite pictures ever!  (We got a new computer - a mac- and I can't figure out how to move my type to the to of the page.  I'll keep working on it.)

Go Brewers!

Avery loves to go watch her Daddy play baseball so I thought I'd put up some pics, since I brought my camera down the other night. It got a little chilly though, so we put on her hoodie, and I think she was more intrigued by the zipper and her Nana, than the baseball game.

Zippers and sippy cups are way more fun than baseball!

She might actually be watching the game here!

Busy Busy

Sorry for no new pics for awhile, we've been pretty busy lately. Also, Cullen's mom fell the other night and broke her femur (not sure how you spell that). Anyway, she had surgery yesterday to put a rod in her leg, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers so she can get well soon! We were also down in Iowa last week for a big Kauzlarich family reunion. It was great to see all the family, and Avery met lots of new cousins, including her new cousin Olivia who is just 2 months younger. They had lots of fun. The family is getting so big with our cousins all having kids now, so we wore matching shirts as family. Yes, kind of cheesy, but super helpful! The Kauzlarich's from MN decided to sport Viking jerseys, minus my mom who refused to wear the purple and gold. Avery didn't have jersey, but did have a Viking onesie. So that is what we've been up to. Avery has been busy busy. She is still working on that crawling and can kind of propel herself forward, and then falls on her belly. It is pretty funny. We are thinking she might finally be getting some teeth, as she is showing lots of signs of teething, but none are popping through. I don't know, we'll see. Cullen didn't get teeth until he was one. That's all for now. I will try to get back to my weekly updates this week.

Playing the piano like mama! Fun in her new garage sale walker! Avery and her cousin Olivia checking each other out

Hi Uncle Jeff!!

I talked to Avery's Uncle Jeff (my brother) tonight who is out in New Jersey working with the Atlantic City Surf for the summer. He was asking what she has been up to, so we are posting some pics just for you!! She is starting to want to crawl! She can get into position, but doesn't have any idea how to move. She can rock, but can't get going anywhere. It is pretty cute! We love you and miss you and can't wait for you to come home!
